आभासी कक्षा

Image

CAN ONLINE CLASSES REPLACE TRADITIONAL CLASSES?

Image
Online classes or E learning tools provide students and teachers access to resources they couldn’t have had otherwise. A philosophy student in Africa can learn from the top professor a continent away, and can do so while balancing their own time while balancing a full time job etc. However, there are more advantages of taking classes in the classroom compared to taking them online, that is, such as being able to physically meet with the teacher, asking for feedback, seeing their reaction and interacting with fellow students etc. Many students learn best through the face to face interaction or the hands on approach that is provided by the teachers and peers while attending classes in the classroom environment.  The traditional way of taking classes, which is called the classroom environment, has become a lot easier to manage time because you are going to class everyday if not a little less. Students have more time to meet with their peers and teachers and have more time for homewor...

COVID-19 IMPACT ON EDUCATION

Image
Corona virus is the first health pandemic that affected the nation. It adversely affected the lives of people. The most affected area is our education system. It has taken a long leap due to the condition. Schools and colleges are closed, students and teachers are sitting inside their homes because life is more important than anything else. ‘Covid-19 or corona virus is a word that's synonymous to a nightmare.’ It scares people even in daylight. But it didn't stop the teaching-learning process. Educational responses to the crises are capable of changing the meaning, purposes, and values of schools. The pandemic gave a wonderful opportunity to schools for transforming the age-old tradition of the teaching-learning process. The traditional way of chalk- talk has been transferred to technology. Disruption in education is pushing policymakers to find new ways for engaging children in a technology-friendly way. Online education ensures that students don't have to suffer and ...

Staggering impact of Covid-19 on education system

Image
The COVID-19 pandemic is first and foremost a health crisis. Many countries have (rightly) decided to close schools, colleges. These interruptions will not just be a short-term issue, but can also have long-term consequences for the affected cohorts and are likely to increase inequality.   Going to school is the best public policy tool available to raise skills. While school time can be fun and can raise social skills and social awareness, from an economic point of view the primary point of being in school is that it increases a child’s ability. Even a relatively short time in school does this; even a relatively short period of missed school will have consequences for skill growth. But can we estimate how much the COVID-19 interruption will affect learning? The closure of schools, colleges and universities not only interrupts the teaching for students around the world; the closure also coincides with a key assessment period and many exams have been postponed or cancelled....

How to have fun at school

Image
Some students just hate to go to school. Waking up early in the morning to go to school can be a pain. It is so because students fail to understand that they can have fun at school too.   A great thing about our school, DPS Sahibabad , is that the students here learn things in a play way manner, along with their friends and teachers, and get involved in extra-curricular activities.   By connecting to the school through clubs and activities, socializing with friends and celebrations make the school a fun place for kids, Following are few ways to seek fun at school:   Join a club: Joining a club helps a student to get connected with other students, learn leadership qualities , confidence and good communication skills. It also helps a child to find his sphere of interest and further helps to excel.   Fine Arts: Participating in fine arts gives a child a lot more confidence by brushing his/her skills and increasing his/her ability to learn.   ...

My favourite teacher

Image
Someone has rightly said, “Teachers are the ones who plant the seeds of knowledge, sprinkle them and patiently nurture their growth to produce tomorrow’s dreams. A teacher is one who instills in the learner an inspiration to learn and to be good. Teachers play a vital role in our lives. They are the one who impart knowledge to us on various academic subjects as well as teach us good values. We study in Delhi Public School, Sahibabad where teachers inspire their students not only to study well but also become an ideal human beings. They treat us like friends, understand us and solve our problems in the best possible and easiest way. There are around 25 teachers in my school and its really very difficult to say who is my favourite. The knowledge that they give us will be surely our weapon for the life ahead. I have learnt to be disciplined and punctual for the class. They give us so many projects, which help us improve our subject knowledge. They use easy and appropriate ways to te...
